From the Pastor’s Desk

Do you recall these words from the hymn, Amazing Grace, “I once was lost, but now am found; Was blind, but now I see.” Oh, how God loves us. And loving us, God has wooed and pursued us, His sheep when we have wandered and are lost. Ah, yes, how amazing God’s Grace is!

Paul reminds us in Ephesians 1:11, “Because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan.” Do you ever think about the fact that you are chosen!?! God chose us to be heirs to the Kingdom.

Over and over, we can see in the Word of God that no matter what the struggle we may be going through; whether we are experiencing good times or bad, our God has a plan for us and for our well-being.
As the Lord reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I think of words to songs like Something Beautiful, Something Good, and as I sing those words, I rest assured that God can make something beautiful out of each of our lives, no matter what is going on in the world around us.
He is a God, who lifts us up to the mountaintops and sunrises of our lives and walks beside us in the darkness of the valleys.

Our God has not only chosen and called us as individuals, but He has brought us together as His family here at Faith and as members of the body of Christ. Let us walk boldly in this world no matter where we may find ourselves trusting in the plan God has for each of us and the plan God has for our church family here at faith.

Let us always rejoice in the Lord! Let us be His hands and feet in our homes and in our communities. Wherever we find ourselves, may we wholly trust in the Lord our God and live into the plan which God has for us as individuals and as His church.
