Christmas is a season of praise and thanksgiving for the incarnation of God in Jesus Christ, which begins with Christmas Eve or Day and continues through the Day of Epiphany. The name Christmas comes from the season’s first service, the Christ Mass. Epiphany comes from the Greek word epiphania, which means “manifestation.”*

On Friday, January 6, 2023 we celebrate Epiphany and this coming Sunday which is closest to January 6, we will celebrate

Epiphany and the Baptism of Christ together.

This will be a special Sunday to rejoice and celebrate God’s great love and mercy poured out for us. It is a time to celebrate how we may walk in and reflect the light of Christ as we work together guided by the Holy Spirit to serve the Lord as His church.

In His Love,
Pastor Peggy
